Set Up Your Online Business Under $150

You cannot become rich overnight by joining some “get rich quick” scheme or subscribing to a course that promises to teach you the “magic formula”. Had these been true, every Internet entrepreneur would have been obscenely rich. However, there are plenty of ways to make some quick bucks on the Internet, if you are willing to put some serious effort into it.
In this article, I will talk about how you can set up your online business under $150 and make a few hundred dollars a month. Again, your success will depend on your expertise and the kind of effort that you put in.

What to sell?

We want to make some quick bucks. So we will have to set up a business where we can earn money fast without having to wait endlessly. What can we do? You can sell a product such as an e-book or offer a service such as WordPress installation. You can start an affiliate marketing business, promoting any product. You can find several affiliate programmes on Commission Junction. If you are good at Web designing or creating themes for WordPress, Joomla or any other CMS, you can sell themes and offer to customize them. You can also start a freelance writing or editing service. You just have to find the right opportunity.

Required infrastructure and investment

Like any business enterprise, your online venture will need an identity. So you will have to buy a domain and web hosting for setting up a website. You will also need to have a good design for your website that goes with your business and impresses your prospective customers or clients.
You can buy a domain name for $10-20 and a regular single-domain webhosting will not cost more than $75. You can reduce your cost by using webhosting discount coupons.
Once you have bought a domain and webhosting, it’s time to set up a website. The most popular platform is WordPress. Most webhosting providers offer you one-click installation. Use it if you don’t know how to install WordPress manually. Now, buy a WordPress theme for your website. You can find great themes at ThemeForest for $30-35.

Register with PayPal

PayPal is the most widely used online payment service for sending and receiving money. Register with them and start accepting payments. If you are selling e-books, themes or other online products, you can set up an account with E-Junkie for automating the entire process. E-junkie will transfer the payment to your PayPal account and send the download link to your customer without any need for monitoring. However, you will have to pay a small subscription amount of $5 per month for the service.
Now, it’s time to advertise your business. Use Google Adwords or Facebook to find customers. All the best for your online business venture.
